DEPUTY MINE INSPECTOR AND A CLERK TO'
THE STATE MINE INSPECTOR, AND PROVIDING FOR THE FURNISHING OF PROPS, TIES.
RAILS AND TIMBERS TO BE USED IN COAL
AND HYDROCARBON MINES IN THE TIMBERING THEREOF; PROVIDING RULES TO BE OBSERVED BY OWNERS. OPERATORS AND EMPLOYEES OF, AND IN COAL AND HYDRO-
CARBON MINES, AND RELATING TO THE
BONDS FURNISHED BY THE STATE MINE IN-
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Utah:
1 Section 1. That Sections 1507, 1509, 1512, 1616,
_ 1617 and 1518, Compiled Laws of Utah, 1907, be, and the
I same are hereby amended to read as follows:
4 1507. For the purpose of securing an efficient and
5 thorough inspection of all coal and hydrocarbon mines
6 within the Slate of Utah, and lo provide for an ade-
7 quate enforcement thereof, the Governor shall appoint,
8 by and with the consent of the Senate, one mine in-
• spector for coal and hydrocarbon mines. The inspector
10 so appointed shall hold his office for a term of four
11 years from the date of his appointment, and until his
12 successor is appointed and qualified; Provided, that such
18 inspector may be removed at the pleasure of the Governor.
14 In case of resignation, death, or removal, the vacancy
