AN ACT RELATING TO PEACE OFFICERS; AMENDING PROCEDURES AND GROUNDS FOR
THE REVOCATION OR DENIAL OF PEACE OFFICER CERTIFICATION.
THIS ACT AFFECTS SECTIONS OF UTAH CODE ANNOTATED 1953 AS FOLLOWS:
AMENDS:
67-15-2.1, AS ENACTED BY CHAPTER 161, LAWS OF UTAH 1987
67-15-10.5, AS LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTER 135, LAWS OF UTAH 1988
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 67-15-2.1, as enacted by Chapter 161, Laws of
Utah 1987, is amended to read:
67-15-2.1. The Division of Peace Officer Standards and Training
shall comply with the procedures and requirements of Chapter 46b, Title
63, in its adjudicative proceedings, except the proceedings shall be held
before a majority of the council membership. One of the members shall be
designated as the presiding officer under Section 67-15-10.5.
Section 2. Section 67-15-10.5, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as last
amended by Chapter 135, Laws of Utah 1988, is amended to read:
67-15-10.5. (1) (a) The director may.?] upon [the-eonenrrenee-of
