So The legislature,
State Capitol 3ldg.,
Salt Lake City, Utah.
When I attended the Mass Meeting in my District (14)
I was very much surprised to learn that when the
Primary Election is held in November, the voter
must state which party he belongs to. I consider
this unconstitutional as freedom of politics and
religion is one of the main stipulations in the
I do not"belong* to any party, hut am only interested in the person qualified best for the position
in question, I have never been bound by any party
When I remonstrated at this I was informed that I
would "have" to make a choice and vote this way. I
immediately reiterated that I did not "have" to do
any such thing, as K) OSE could force me to vote!
?ince the meeting, as I am in business for myself, I
have heard many neople express their feelings as the
same as mine therefore they did not intend to vote.
I feel that it would be much to the best interests
the voting if the legislature repeal this law.
Yours very truly,
