Governor Huntsman and Mayor Corroon will announce key recommendations
regarding Utah refugees.

Scheduled visits to refugee service locations will be made available for members
of the news media. (
Governor Jon Huntsman and Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon established a
Refugee Working Group in October 2006. The group's charter was to review the
present refugee resettlement system, its gaps and strengths and recommend
solutions or enhancements to the system.
As an advisory group, the Refugee Working Group brought all of the refugee
service agencies together to pool their resources and expertise to develop
solutions that best meet the needs of this very diverse community of refugees.
