TO THE GOVERNOR,
Referring to the petition on be>alf of Henry T. B. Gray,
convicted in the District Court at Ogden on the 9th day of January
1885, of the crime of Administering drag with intent to produce
a mis-carriage, I have to say:
That I have made as careful an investigation in the premises
that my time and opportunity has permitted, and from all that I
can learn am disposed to believe that this convict has sufficiently atoned for his offence.
I have been unable to see the Prosecutor who conducted the
Irial as he is not now in the Territory, but have conferred with
the Judge who presided, and Join with him in recommending that you
grant the pardon as prayed for.
I herewith enclose the petition in the case.
